Hey all! I'm sorry for my lack of posting lately. I moved out of school, finished the semester with a 4.0, have been running a lot instead of lifting and have been feeling pretty insecure lately. my body is changing from a powerlifting focused workout plan to a cardio based running workout plan and the results feel very weird on my body. Does anyone else experience this when they do more of one than the other? I'm working on finding a balance and toning quickly and productively. This is my most recent photo 🤙 hang in there!

This past year took me for a spin! While health is still a major concern for me, I realized plain and simple, I work TOO much! Time to focus on me and getting back to the things I love. Pressure makes diamonds baby.  ________________________

Trying new things: Quercetin 
Quercetin is a bioflavonoid, found in many fruits and vegetables and even some grains. It is an antioxidant and helps to naturally give plants their color. 
Quercetin is also a mast cell stabilizer that prevents the release of histamine in the body and can therefore also have an anti-inflammatory and antihistamine effect. 
It is also neuroactive, with some of the same attributes as caffeine but less potent. What's interesting to me is that this supplement is the first one I've felt actually helps me, actually feeling like I am on a stimulant, which given my chronic fatigue, I'll take any help I can get, but curiously, caffeine itself does not give me this same effect. Caffeine, to me, is not stimulating at all. 
Recently, both my Anti-IgE Antibody and Anti-IgE Receptor Antibody came back positive. These results indicate Chronic Autoimmune Urticaria (CAU), which also is frequently paired, in about 90% of cases, with Angioedema, which does explain a lot in my case. CAU is a form of IgE-mediated Mast Cell Activation Disorder. 
There is a lot of research regarding Quercetin being helpful for people with  basophil activation, like that in CAU, and for those with MCAD and allergies. 
I'm hopeful that Quercetin will continue to be helpful to me, as I've tried at least 50 different vitamin supplements and herbs throughout the years, and this one is the first one I've found actually helps. 
Other Ingredients: Almond milk, shredded coconut, coconut cream, pear, spinach, pea protein powder, maca powder, cacoa powder, almond butter, ice

LEMON & PISTACHIO BLISS BALLS

Ingredients:

1 cup pistachios
Zest of 2 lemons
1/2 cup pepitas
1/2 cup shredded coconut
8 large Medjool dates, pitted
2 Tbsp. coconut oil

shredded coconut for topping

Method

Place the all ingredients in a food processor and grind – leave them a little crunchy for texture. Blend until evenly distributed and the mixture sticks together easily when pressed together.

Wet hands and roll into balls, coat with shredded coconut. Place in the fridge and allow them to set for 15 minutes. These bliss balls also freeze well.
