Carbo Night: Chao Mian Xian. Chao Fan. Chao Mian. Chao Cai.

Pretty nice feet I must say. Macarons eaters and their foot fetish.
No 2, Chilli and vinegar yes. Arigato.
Coz colleague say, let's go eat that Mee Pok. That satisfying one. So we went......
Looking fluffy and gentle but they are fierce! Tasmanian Devils.
Soup (with a few slices of bread and a cup of Earl Grey Lavender tea) as a meal. The wife looked at me with that 'are you ok' stare.... (ok ok, I want to eat bread and if you don't order soup, you got to pay for the bread, many people just take the bread as if it's free, which I phil they are unethical lor)
This bear bear is so cute lor! Thanks @StarbucksSG for the gift for the little one.
Probably the most expensive Milo I bought. Only 275gm. The Milo flavour also not like local Milo. More milky.
Colleagues and I were just staring at water flowing..... (rain too heavy to walk back to office). Very therapeutic though.
Dug out an unopened for 7 years mini steamboat cooker because the situation warrants it. Ladies who go shopping hungry and just before dinner will be tempted to buy things that she will enjoy. She saw Iberico pork collar. Mua ha ha ha....
Nasi Lemak with Fried Chicken (The long story..... We arrived at this other place for lunch, it's won't be open till 12 noon. So we started flipping the set meal of the day menu while we waited. We saw their Monday set meal is something the 4 of us didn't like. We want the Tuesdays set meal, which is Nasi Lemak with Rendang. But but but hor... the photo they used was not rendang but a photo of Nasi Lemak with fried chicken! We know this place can't substitute other days meal. We tried asking many times before. Then we got an idea, let's go somewhere that has Nasi Lemak with Fried Chicken Everyday! So we ended up here).
Part of dinner last night. Weekend experiments with my 3 year old kitchen toy ie the #thermomix . Everyone at home says the amount of money I paid for the machine I should do more thing with it. Last weekend and this weekend - cooking different styles of Fried Bee Hoon. I always cook other things but never thought of frying Bee Hoon. When dinner was served someone said 'economic beehoon ah'? Forgot luncheon meat, fried eggs, sambal? Tsk! Last week's with shredded pork and mushroom was nicer. Slide ⬅️➡️ for more photos. Ya the machine stir the noodles for me.
First time the little one eats a real authentic ramen. No thick soup for her tho... Wife really likes this Sakura cola. (It reminds me of the smell at Tangs Beauty Hall. )
Always say to myself - "Eat less carbo lah". However..... when I see "Beef Short Rib Rendang", how to not have a whole bowl of rice with it? The temptation of 'kerisik' on the rendang sauce is like how ants are attracted to sugar. ️who loves kerisik?
Coz we got a kid and sis said it was so crowded at 'that' place. So we had our Cha Yen / Kah Feh Yen at a less crowded place.
From Spain to Korea! The chefs at the different #IHG hotels in Singapore are having a #sgfood fight . They are trying to outdo their fellow chefs with their cooking. This Bakwan Kepiting is using Korean Snow Crab! Minced Pork and Korean Snow Crab stuffed back into the Snow Crab 🦀 Shell. Flavourful! (My wife lit up when I told her about this, she says her Mama (Peranakan Grandma) used to make it using freshly hand peeled crabs when grandfather was around. Mama has not made it since. So I must bring wifey to try and cry...)
I ate a piece and my brain told my hand to pick up the fork and cucuk a few more pieces. This Babi Panggang from @BabaChews guna tu babi dari Sepanyol (Iberico Pork - Khinzir Itam) so the flavour macam immediately enhanced, texture pun melt in your mouth. Should bring my Baba father-in-law here to "chew" on this. Lightly marinated (coz Iberico itself sudah best) and panggang-ed, tak payah the satay sauce that accompanies it. You probably will jilat the plate! (Sorry for those who can't read Singlish and Malay, the Baba and Nonya will lah...) One to Chef Alvin from #babachews for the #IHG #sgfood fight .
Colleagues' lunch that I also wished I had. Ok next time. We arrived when there was no one queuing. 10 mins after there was the queue for takeaway and also the dine-in. Phew. (Swipe ⬅️➡️for more)
How could we not order the egg tarts here?
